What we collect
When you submit a project to Projects at Rest, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- The information you provide about your project
- Any images you upload
- Your IP address (WordPress logs this automatically)
If you just browse the site, we don’t collect anything identifiable beyond standard server logs.
Why we collect it
- To review submissions. We read every submission individually before deciding whether to publish it.
- To display your project. If we publish your submission, the project details and any images you provided become part of the public gallery.
- To contact you. We’ll email you if your submission is accepted, or if we need clarification about something.
- Site operation. Server logs help us keep the site running and secure.
Who sees it
- Your submission: Only us, until we decide whether to publish it.
- Published projects: Anyone who visits the site.
- Your email address: Never published. We don’t share it, sell it, or add you to any lists.
How long we keep it
- Unpublished submissions: We keep these for 90 days, then delete them.
- Published projects: These stay on the site unless you request removal.
- Server logs: Automatically deleted after 30 days.
Your rights
You can request:
- A copy of what we have about you
- Deletion of your submission (published or unpublished)
- Correction of any information we got wrong

We don’t use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If we add them later, we’ll update this policy and let you know.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and note the date at the top. No sneaky retroactive changes.
